GIBSON-MARTIN
Gloria Jean Martin and Corporal Jason Douglas Gibson were married February
23, 1991, at 3:00 p.m., at Williamson Road Church of God. The Rev. Larry
Lykens officiated, assisted by the Rev. W.O. Craig. The reception was held in
the fellowship hall of the church. Honor attendant was Lisa Gilley. The
flowergirl was Crystal Martin. Ringbearer was Robbie Martin. Best man was
Private Mike Lee of Troutville. The usher was Eric Poindexter. The guestbook
was attended by Vickie Chandler. A special song was sung by Nicole Gibson. She
was given in marriage by her Father, Jesse Martin. She wore a white gown, long
in back and tea length in front, accented with pearls, and veil accented with
pearls. She is the daughter of Jesse and Mary Martin, and granddaughter of
Nita Martin. She graduated from Northside High School. The groom, son of Doug
and Loretta Gibson, is a graduate of William Byrd High School and the U.S.
Army Infantry Basic Training School. He is a member of the U.S. Army Reserves.
After their wedding trip to Natural Bridge, the couple will live in Vinton.
