VANCE-MASTERS
St. John's Episcopal Church was the setting Saturday, March 16, for the
wedding of Regan Dionne Masters and Thomas Mark Vance. The Reverend Elsa Hale
officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Ronald Clemmons Murfee of
Effingham, Ill., and Mr. Gary Everett Masters of Johnson City, Tenn. She is a
graduate of Bristol Tennessee High School and attended East Tennessee State
University. She is employed by Computerland. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Tom E. Vance of Roanoke, is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and Elon
College. He is employed by Business Communications Systems, Inc. The maid of
honor was Deborah Dutton of Richmond. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Robert Thomas of
Tuscaloosa, Ala., sister of the bride; Lisa Ferguson and Kim Johnson of
Roanoke; and Mrs. George Newstedt, sister of the groom, of Winston-Salem, N.
C. The best man was Tom E. Vance, father of the groom. The ushers were Michael
Ambler and James Winn of Greensboro, N. C.; William Coffman of Winterville, N.
C.; Jay Allred and George Newstedt, of Winston-Salem, N. C.; and Robert Thomas
of Tuscaloosa, Ala. Matthew and Andrew Murfee, brothers of the bride, were
ring bearers.
