Artists who wish to show their work in the 37th annual Vinton Dogwood Festival should reserve space by April 1.
The festival will take place on Saturday, April 27.
Ruth Appelhof, executive director of the Roanoke Museum of Fine Arts, will be juror for the show. There will be a best-in-show award of $350, plus cash awards in oils and acrylics, graphics, drawing, photography and sculpture.
There will be a charge of $25 per 10 feet of fence space at the art exhibit.
To reserve space, artists should send a check or money order to the festival at P.O. Box 384, Vinton, Va. 24179.

Playmakers auditions
Playmakers & Company (formerly Christiansburg Community Theatre) will be holding auditions for "Hometown Hollywood '91," a showcase of area talent, March 18 and 20 at the Christiansburg Senior Center on 655 Montgomery St. at 7 p.m.
