PEARISBURG - Dorothy Clark Byrley, age 81, of Pearisburg, died Sunday, March 17, 1991, in Giles Memorial Hospital following a short illness. Mrs. Byrley was born in Roanoke, Va. on June 3, 1909, and was a daughter of the late Thomas K. and Mary Fenstermacher Clark. She was a member of the Pearisburg Presbyterian Church. She was a life member and past president of the Women of the Presbyterian Church. She had been a teacher and elder of the church and had been a member of the choir for 35 years. She was past president of the Pearisburg Womens Club and was a member of the Pearisburg Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Byrley, a daughter, Carol Byrley, and a son, David Byrley. She is survived by one brother, Thomas K. Clark of Roanoke, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 19, 1991, in the Pearisburg Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Alan Harvey officiating. Burial will be in Birchlawn Burial Park. Friends may call at the Givens Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the S.P.C.A. of Pearisburg, Va.
