A spokesman for the Roanoke Police Department said officers were called to the residence shortly after 9:30 p.m. Police said two men forced their way through a door into the house in the 1400 block of Leon Street Northwest.
The woman, in her 60s, told police she was able to free herself and run to a neighbor's house for help. Police said several items were missing from the house.

Charles Henry Guthrie, 58, of Southeast Roanoke was cut on the head and hand Sunday when he turned and walked into a slow-moving train despite whistles, flashing lights and a warning gate.
Police said Guthrie and two other men were on the tracks near Third Street and Campbell Avenue Southeast as the train approached at 8-10 mph. Guthrie was in stable condition at Roanoke Memorial Hospital Sunday night.
A gunman approached a couple from Pennsylvania about 8:30 p.m. Sunday as they checked into their room at Motel Six on Thirlane Road in Roanoke County. He shoved them into the room, waved a pistol, grabbed their cash and ran.
A 20-year-old Vinton man was charged Sunday with robbing a Vinton grocery store clerk as she opened her cash register to make a transaction, Roanoke County authorities said today.
Police said the man was in the Food Lion grocery store at East Vinton Plaza about 5 p.m. Sunday when he pushed a cashier away from her register and grabbed money and ran.
A man was stopped shortly afterward by Vinton police officers who spotted a car matching the description of the one the robber fled in.
David Allen Perry of Route 4, Vinton, was charged with robbery and possession of marijuana.
