Orrin S. Rhudy, age 87, of 401 Friends Way, N.W., died Monday, March 18, 1991. He was a member of Huntington Court United Methodist Church and Williamson Road Lodge #163 A.F. & A.M. He was a graduate of Emory and Henry College, former town manager of Galax, Va., worked for and traveled for Easter Seal Society of Virginia for eight years, and was bookkeeper and estimator for Hess and Hurt Paint Contractors for four years. He was employed by and retired from Bedford County School Board. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Callie L. Rhudy; one sister and brother-in-law, Nellie Park and husband, Marven, Wytheville; one brother, Calvert Rhudy, Wytheville. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Bradford L. Phillips and the Rev. Dr. Denver S. Davis officiating. Entombment will be in Sherwood Chapel Garden Mausoleum with Masonic rites by Williamson Road Lodge #163. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Van Fund or Capital Improvement Fund, Huntington Court United Methodist Church or the Roanoke County #5 Rescue Squad. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.
