NEW CASTLE - Franklin Robert (Frank) Switzer, age 88, died Monday in a Shawsville Nursing Home. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Virginia Switzer and a son, Earl Switzer. Survived by three sons, Floyd Switzer, Manassas; Lloyd Switzer, Troup, Texas; Otis Switzer, Elliston; five daughters, Grace Brown, Maysville, N.C.; Shirley Foutz, Elliston; Becky Vernon, Hardy; Marie Gottbrath, Pekin, Ind.; Hazel Carlee, Arlington; one sister, Betty Caldwell, New Castle; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, 2:00 p.m. at Boitnott Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Crowder Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Craig County Rescue Squad.
