AIDS PREVENTION DISCUSSION THURSDAY AT TECH

AIDS prevention will be the of a Virginia Tech psychology colloquium Thursday at 4 p.m. in Davidson Hall, room 3.

The colloquium is the first to kick off the department's spring series and is entitled, "Community Approaches to AIDS Prevention."

Leading the discussion is Dr. Jeff Kelly, an AIDS researcher. He is a psychiatry and mental health services professor and director of the Community Health Behavior Program at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Kelly is directing a large-scale intervention project to help people learn safer sexual practices. Helping with the project is Richard Winett, a Tech psychology professor and director of the Center for Research in Health Behavior.
