BRAGG, LOWE LEAD NARROWS OVER GALAX

Mason Bragg struck out 12 in six innings and Kelly Lowe went 3-for-4 with three steals and two runs scored as Narrows beat Galax 9-3 in the Mountain Empire District opener for both high school baseball teams.

Tony Boggess doubled twice and had four runs batted in for Narrows. Lowe was participating in his first athletic competition since severely breaking a leg during football season. - Staff report
