FERRUM TAKES TWO FROM E&H

Alan Knick pitched a nine-strikeout four-hitter and Chris Holt, Rick Williams, and Gerald Smith hit home runs as Ferrum opened a double-header sweep of visiting Emory & Henry with a 12-2 college baseball victory.

The Panthers (10-1) whipped the Wasps 9-1 in the second game behind former Timesland player of the year Randy Lawrence's four-hit pitching. Holt hit his second homer of the day, one of three for the Panthers.
