LAWSON MEDALIST IN GOLF

In his first collegiate tournament, freshman Chris Lawson of Roanoke College shot a 78 to win medalist honors and Washington and Lee took team honors with a 325 at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference/Lynchburg Invitational men's golf tournament on Tuesday at Ivy Hills Country Club.

Roanoke College was second at 339, followed by Lynchburg at 352, Emory & Henry at 369, Virginia Wesleyan at 373 and Eastern Mennonite at 407. - Staff report
