BUBKA BREAKS POLE VAULT RECORD - AGAIN

Sergei Bubka broke his own world record and surpassed the 20-foot barrier in the pole vault for the second time in four days at a meet in his hometown of Donetsk in the Soviet Union. Soviet television reported that Bubka cleared 20 feet, one-half inch.

\ Mats Wilander, instead of swinging a racket, will be making one.

The 1988 Australian, French and U.S. Open champion will open a 17-stop concert tour today as the main attraction of a six-member rock group named Wilander. He plays the guitar.

"I'm not actually a musician," Wilander said. "I'm doing this tour because it's so fun.
