COUPLE CLAIMS $11.7 MILLION LOTTO JACKPOT

A Hampton couple on Tuesday claimed the $11.7 million jackpot from the Feb. 16 Lotto drawing.

Eftihios and Despina Pavlakis said they chose the winning combination of 8-13-16-19-28-39 themselves, though they said the numbers had no special meaning.

The couple chose not to hold a news conference or release other information about themselves.

The winning ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven store in Hampton.

The Pavlakises received the first payment Tuesday of $443,333 after taxes. They will receive 19 more annual payments.
