Mr. Mario (Duke) Benjamin Tonin, age 60, of Roanoke died Monday, March 18, 1991. He was employed by Home Shopping Network. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Tonin. He is survived by his wife, Marie J. Tonin; two daughters, Sandra Lee Smith, Salem; Darlene M. Tonin, Roanoke; one sister, Mary Berinda, Minnesota; five brothers, John Tonin; Vino Tonin; Louis Tonin; Frank Tonin; Albert Tonin, all of Pennsylvania; two grandsons, Matthew B. Ball; Christopher A. Smith; one granddaughter, Tiffiny N. Tonin; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Salem, with Father James E. Parke officiating. Interment will be in St. Andrews Cemetery, Roanoke. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Andrews Catholic School Athletic Fund. The family will receive friends 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
