Marvin Ware Babb, Sr., age 81, of 2629 Crystal Spring Ave., S.W., died Wednesday, March 20, 1991. He was a member of South Roanoke United Methodist Church. Mr. Babb was a former owner of Babb's Restaurant and was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Martha Baldwin Babb; two sons, Marvin Ware (Mickey) Babb, Jr.; Brent Story Babb, Sr., both of Roanoke; one daughter, Caroline Babb Hudson, Blythewood, S.C.; six grandchildren, Joel Baldwin Babb; Robert V. Hudson, III; Bryan Hampton Hudson; Brent Story (B.J.) Babb, Jr.; Stephanie McKinley Babb; Courtney Marie Babb; two brothers, David Babb; Lewis Babb, both of Courtland, Va. Graveside services will be at Sherwood Memorial Park, 11:30 a.m. Friday with the Rev. James Hain officiating. The family request no flowers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
