SUTPHIN, VIOLA R.

CHRISTIANSBURG - Viola Riddle Sutphin, age 75, died Tuesday night, March 19, 1991 in a Radford hospital. She was a member of the Fairlawn Grace Brethren Church. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and leaves to mourn many loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kenneth Sutphin; and two sons, Chester Wayne (Bud) Sutphin and Jimmy Lee (Mickey) Sutphin. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred S. and Ben Burk, Doris S. and Carl Ratcliffe, Dreama S. and Randall Epperly, all of Christiansburg; Shirley S. Richardson, Salem; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews. The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday from the Fairlawn Grace Brethren Church conducted by the Rev. Lester Kennedy with burial in the Belmont Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 Thursday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
