MARION - Mrs. Mary Legard Meek, age 80, died Wednesday, March 20, 1991, in Smyth County Community Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Mr. William "Jack" Meek of Marion; one daughter, Mrs. Annie Meek Jackson of Orlando, Florida; one sister, Mrs. Virginia Riddle of Marion; three grandchildren, Michael Jackson, Christopher Jackson and Jennifer Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22, 1991, at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harry Howe officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
