BEDFORD - Nell Overstreet Synan, age 95, of 1109 Parks Street, died Wednesday, March 20, 1991, at her residence. She was born in Bedford June 11, 1895, a daughter of the late Edmond Austin Overstreet Sr. and Carrie Bell Miller Overstreet. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Luther Synan, and her son, Richard T. Synan. She was a member of Bedford Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, James E. Synan, Bedford; a sister, Sara F. Overstreet, Bedford; a brother, Edmond A. Overstreet Jr., Bedford; three grandchildren, Cathryne S. Marsiniak, Orlando, Fla.; Kevin C. Synan, Paducah, Ky.; Anne G. Synan, Fairfax. Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Oakwood Cemetery with Dr. Ron R. Blankenship officiating. The family suggests those wishing to make memorials consider the Bedford Life Saving Crew. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
