SEARCH CONTINUING FOR MISSING WOMAN

Authorities broadened their search for a missing 73-year-old Augusta County woman who apparently became confused while out for a walk.

Mary Elizabeth Maddox was last seen about noon Monday. At that time, an Augusta County sheriff's deputy spotted her walking alone and offered her a ride home. Maddox accepted, but gave the deputy an incorrect address.

Searchers have combed an area along Interstate 81 in Augusta County, but expanded the search to include Rockbridge and Rockingham counties Wednesday.
