The national organization hosted its first Jabberwock in Boston in 1925, taking the term "Jabberwock" taken from Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland."
The event, which is a scholarship fund-raiser, will feature Roanoke Valley talent and live entertainment. In the last five years, the Roanoke chapter has given about $25,000 in scholarships.
