Lacy V. (Johnny) Perdue, 66, of Narrows, died Wednesday evening in a Roanoke hospital. He was born in Giles County on June 27, 1924 and was the son of the late Thomas Perdue and Nettie B. Williams. He attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Narrows and was a member of the American Legion Post #68 of Narrows and was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Dixon Perdue; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. Kenny (Susie) Cooper, Marion; Mrs. Richard (Jeanette) Wall, Narrows; Mrs. Donnie (Geneva) McClaugherty, Christiansburg; stepfather, Charlie Williams, Narrows; one brother, Robert (Bobby) Williams, Narrows; three sisters, Wanda Giles, Alexandria; Eva Chandler and Illene McKinney, both of Narrows; five grandchildren, Eric and Sarah Cooper, Marion; Anthony Wall, Narrows; Todd and April McClaugherty, Christiansburg. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Riffe's Funeral Chapel in Narrows with Rev. Albert Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg with graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post #68 of Narrows. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
