POTTER, LLOYD H., SR.

LEXINGTON - Lloyd Huston Potter, Sr., age 76, died Wednesday, March 20, 1991, in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Mr. Potter was born May 8, 1914, in Collierstown and was the son of the late Joseph Franklin Potter and Lillian Roselee Potter. He was a member of the Collierstown Presbyterian Church and served as past superintendent of Sunday Schools and the Board of Deacons. He was retired from Rockbridge County as a school bus driver after serving several years. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Potter Vest. Surviving are his wife, Iona Morris Potter; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Lee Sprinkle of Fredericksburg; Mrs. Lillian P. Lawrence of Lynchburg; two sons, Lloyd Huston Potter, Jr., and Billy Franklin Potter, both of Lexington; two grandchildren, Troy F. Potter and Corrie Rae Potter. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 1991, at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Dr. Robert S. Miles and Dr. William A. Cole, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Collierstown Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lexington First Aid Crew or the Effinger Fire Department. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
