ROANOKE WOMEN BEAT WASHINGTON AND LEE

Leigh Budnitz and Robin Collinson showed why they are the Roanoke College women's lacrosse team's dynamic duo Thursday in the Maroons' 8-3 victory over Washington and Lee.

Budnitz scored four goals and had one assist, and Collinson had one goal and two assists as the sixth-ranked Maroons (4-0 overall, 2-0 ODAC) remained undefeated. Roanoke scored the first four goals of the game, with Budnitz and Collinson scoring three of the four.

In four games, Budnitz has scored 16 goals and Collinson has 13 goals and 12 assists.

Washington and Lee dropped to 1-2, 1-1.
