PARISIEN GIVES U.S 1ST WORLD CUP WIN IN 4 YEARS

Julie Parisien gave Europe's best skiers a jolt and the American ski program a boost by winning a World Cup giant slalom in Waterville Valley, N.H.

It was the first World Cup victory by an American skier since 1987. Austria's Ulrike Maier was second.

\ The daily operations of the 1996 Olympics will be handled by A.D. Frazier Jr., executive vice president of First Chicago Corp., who was named chief operating officer of the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games. It is the No. 2 job, under committee president Billy Payne.
