SYCAMORE FARM ADDS ANOTHER RESTAURANT

Bruce and Betty Becker, owners of Sycamore Farm in Blacksburg, have expanded their business with another restaurant that also has greenhouses, a bakery, deli and farm market.

Sycamore South opened to customers last week and will have daily hours, 7 a.m.- 10:30 p.m.

"We want this store to be known as old-fashioned, where we make our own and grow our own," said Bruce Becker, who started the Sycamore business in Lexington about three years ago.

The Lexington farm was sold this year and the Beckers have been operating the Sycamore Farm restaurant on North Main Street here for one year.

The Beckers' operation employs about 40 people.

The new business, which occupies what was formerly a recreational and boating lot, will sell seasonal vegetables, fruits, plants and flowers. Homemade breads and baked goods are available, also.

Sycamore South is at 1901 South Main St.

Reservations are not required. Call 951-9817 for takeout.
