BEDFORD - Mr. Frank Donald Johnson, Sr., departed this life on Friday, March 22, 1991, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Mae Richie Johnson; To this union two children were born, one son, Frank D. Johnson, Jr., daughter, Miss Tina Marie Johnson, both of Bedford; stepchildren, Ms. Donna L. Johnson, Ms. Bernice Powell and Ms. Johnette Powell; his mother, Mrs. Marie J. Johnson of Hollins, Va.; two brothers, James (Louise) Johnson of Hollins; and Lawrence A. Johnson of Roanoke; five sisters, Mrs. Patricia (LeRoy) Worrell and Eva (Kester) Blackwell, and Peggy (Wayne) Minnis, Mrs. Marjorie Johnson, Miss Barbara (Beanie) Johnson of Roanoke; one brother-in-law, Teddy Richie of Lexington; a sister-in-law, Martha R. Biglow of Bedford; one aunt, Mrs. Virginia Burnette of Roanoke; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 25, 1991, at 3:30 p.m. at the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Bedford County officiated by the Rev. William Goode and interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 at the Bedford Funeral Home.
