ROANOKE RUGBY CLUB TOPS LYNCHBURG TEAMS

The Roanoke Rugby Club A Side and B Side teams each scored a victory in matches against the Lynchburg Rugby Club teams on Saturday at the Lincoln Terrace Elementary School field.

In the A match, Wen Jones and Ed Clark and Jon Thompson each scored two trys and Steve Swallow scored a try to lead Roanoke to a 34-0 victory. The A Side has a 4-2 record.

In the B match, Mike Morgan, Larry Davis and Mike Hickey each scored a try and Mick Elston kicked for six points in a 22-0 victory. The B side is 2-1. - Staff report
