CHITWOOD ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Smith Chitwood celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary February 10, 1991, at their home on Wasena Avenue, Roanoke. They were married February 11, 1933, in Franklin County. Mr. Chitwood is retired from the Metro Bus Company with 33 years service. Mrs. Chitwood, the former Irna J. Robertson, retired from the Roanoke City School system after 27 years as a teacher. Mr. Chitwood is a member of The Sons Of The American Revolution. Mrs. Chitwood is a member of The Daughters Of The American Revolution and the United Daughters Of The Confederacy. They are members of Greene Memorial Methodist Church. They have three children and eight grandchildren.
