William Samuel (Billy) Thompson, age 49, died Friday. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Billie Jo Sifford. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Davis Thompson; parents, Raymond S. and Beryl Rice Thompson; two daughters, Teresa T. Berry, Buchanan; Deborah T. Sifford, Fincastle; stepdaughter, Donna Lynn Pharis, Durham, N.C.; stepson, Sgt. James E. Hagen, Seoul, Korea; one brother, Michael L. Thompson, Buchanan; three sisters, Brenda T. Gilliam, Jane T. Dudley, and Becky T. Thompson, all of Buchanan; four grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 25, 1991, at 2:00 p.m. in Buchanan Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard L. Southern officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, Buchanan.
