SPRINGWOOD - George Lynwood Hayth Sr., age 85, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, March 24, 1991. He was predeceased by his wife, Nina Welch Hayth, and daughter, Marie H. Beemer. He was a member of the Springwood Baptist Church; a retired locomotive engineer with the C & O Railroad with over 41 years of service; a member of the Springwood Oddfellows No. 278 for over 55 years; and a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Mr. Hayth is survived by his devoted son and daughter-in-law, G.L. (Buddy) and Geraldine R. Hayth, Springwood; his loving daughter and son-in-law, Shirley H. and Will Stinnett, Buchanan; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews including Sonny Barger of Buchanan. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 26, 1991, at 11:00 a.m. in Springwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold E. Cook Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Springwood Baptist Church or the Buchanan Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday at Rader Funeral Home, Buchanan.
