OBIT-BELL, A.

BEDFORD - Arnold N. Bell, age 88, of Route 6, died Sunday, March 24, 1991, in the Carriage Hill Retirement Center. He was born in Bedford County on July 13, 1902, a son of the late James Bell and Mamie Owen Bell. He was a retired dairy farmer and was a member of Thaxton Baptist Church. His wife was the late Frances Snead Bell. Survivors include two sisters, Frances Eubank of Roanoke and Mamie Wheat of Bedford; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside in Greenwood Cemetery on Tuesday, March 26, 1991, at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Michael R. DuVal officiating. The family will receive friends at Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford, on Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Bedford Life Saving Crew.
