Mr. Claude Granville Minter, Sr., age 66, of 624 Staunton Avenue, NW, passed away on Palm Sunday, March 24, 1991, 1:30 p.m. in a local hospital. He was a Bell Captain of Hotel Roanoke. Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Minter; one son, Claude G. Minter, Jr., Roanoke; two daughters, Yvonne Minter, Lynchburg; Marilyn F. Minter, Roanoke; one brother, Issac J. Minter and sister-in-law, Mattie Lou Minter; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one aunt, Mrs. Agnes White (Obie White); a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home, Wednesday, March 27, 1991, 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Kenneth B. Wright, officiating clergy. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 26, 1991 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Hamlar-Curtis, morticians.
