FLOYD, VA. - Junior Marl "Pete" Harris, age 68, died Monday, March 25, 1991 at Radford Community Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II. He is preceded in death by one son, Carl Edward Harris. He is survived by his wife, Irene Vaughn Harris; one daughter, Janet Elree Slusher of Willis; one son, Maurice G. Harris of Willis; one brother, Trent A. Harris of Stafford; four sisters, Nola Roop of Alexandria; Vesta Dunn of Dunn Loring; Hazel Young and Velva Rea East, both of Christiansburg; a half sister, Gladys Staff of Orlando, Fla.; four grandchildren, Sherry Yopp, Jason Slusher, Lora Slusher, Scott Harris. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Joe Cox and Rev. Bryan Childress officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Maberry Funeral Home.
