HOME SHOPPING HAS NEW PRESIDENT

Sutton was president and chief executive officer of Media General Broadcast Group, a division of Media General Inc. of Richmond, before joining Home Shopping's executive staff.

Sutton joined WFLA-TV, the Media General NBC affiliate in Tampa, in 1981 as executive vice president and was named president and chief operating officer a year later.

Prior to joining WFLA, he was vice president of programs and promotion for the NBC television network in New York, general manager of WALA-TV of Detroit and program director at KYW-TV of Philadelphia and WPLG-TV of Miami. He became associated with ABC in 1967 and was director of advertising and promotion for all ABC television stations. - Staff report
