HOKIES SWEEP BY BEARCATS

Clint Creed continued his hot hitting and Virginia Tech beat Cincinnati 16-12 to complete a three-game sweep of the Bearcats in Metro Conference baseball action Monday.

Creed was 4-for-5, drove in four runs and scored three. The senior collected 13 hits in 15 plate appearances during the series.

The Hokies improved their record to 12-7 overall, 3-0 in the Metro. Cincinnati dropped to 10-5, 0-3.
