RESTAURANT WAS WRONGLY PANNED

MY HUSBAND and I could not believe what reviewer Delores Kostelni wrote about Sal's & Duca's March 13. It sounded as if she had a personal vendetta against the owners of this fine restaurant.

Since Ms. Kostelni did not care for the meat served in her veal dishes, perhaps her exquisite taste buds prefer the veal patties served in most of the Italian restaurants in this area. We found the veal parmigiana exceptionally good! Also, her description of Italian foods (stating that much of it is "alla minute") proves to me that she does not know very much about them.

During lunch hour, this restaurant also has a fantastic pizza and salad-bar buffet. We always found the salad bar loaded with fresh vegetables, etc., and the pizza the best in the Roanoke area. We moved here from New York a few years ago and craved a good Italian restaurant. I believe Sal's & Duca's is it. CAROL PALMIERI ROCKY MOUNT
