OBIT BLANKENSHIP, J.

Jessie Malcomb Blankenship, age 71, of Roanoke, died Monday. Surviving are his wife, Stella Rigney Blankenship; his sons and daughters-in-law, M. Wayne and Pat Blankenship; Billy Reid Blankenship; Nancy Clark Blankenship, all of Roanoke; Dennis E. and Pat Blankenship, Callaway; Timmy E. Blankenship; Roanoke; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Sue and Lee Altice, Roanoke; Carol and Gary LaPrad, Vinton; eight grandchildren, Ronnie and Bo Blankenship; Donna and Tony Blankenship; Missy and Robbie Blankenship; Rick Altice; Brett LaPrad; three brothers, Maurice Wray Blankenship, Thaxton; Herbert H. Blankenship, Roanoke; Doc B. Blankenship, Gastonia, N.C.; two sisters, Vernelle Eakin; and Iva Duff, both of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted from Lotz Roanoke Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 29, 1991. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lotz Roanoke Chapel 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday.
