LEWIS, STANLEY J.

Stanley James Lewis, age 74, died Monday, March 25, 1991 in the V.A. Medical Center, Salem. Mr. Lewis was born June 26, 1916 in Bath, Maine, a son of the late Ralph Lewis and Mabel Curran Lewis. He was a member of the St. Patricks Catholic Church, a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, and a World War II veteran serving in the Pacific Theater. Surviving are his wife, Gabrielle Mae Lewis; two stepdaughters, Laurie Strong, Lexington; Cherie Grindle, Concord, Calif.; two sisters, Luella Rogers, Gwendolyn Dutton, both of Bath, Maine; three stepgrandchildren, James A. Strong, Peter E. Strong, Leigh A. Strong. Funeral mass will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 1991 at the St. Patricks Catholic Church with Father J. Morton Biber officiating. Burial will follow in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations be made to a favorite charity. Arrangements by Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
