MAINSTREET RADFORD PLANS TO BE DISCUSSED

The April edition of "Community Speaking" will feature a discussion about downtown Radford's revitalization and the Mainstreet Radford Program.

The 2-year-old Mainstreet project aims to retain businesses and expand the commercial district with new businesses.

The show's guests include Mainstreet director Charlie Whitescarver; Meg Widdle, chairwoman of the Retail Promotions Committee; and Ken Farmer, Mainstreet Board of Directors chairman.

"Community Speaking" airs on Simmons Cable Channel 9 on Sundays at 6 p.m., Tuesdays at 5 p.m., Wednesdays at noon and Thursdays at 7 p.m.
