PERHAPS IT'S TIME FOR AMERICA TO HAVE A KING

WHAT A wonderful war. In the aftermath, I have a few suggestions.

First, get rid of our system of government; it has been in effect nearly 200 years. Sure, it has stood us in good stead, but it is old-fashioned now. I feel we should have a king, George I, so the military-industrial complex can have first priority. That is the case already.

Also, we will have to do away with the free press. Maybe a free press up to a point, but not free to question the king or the military.

Pass laws to jail all liberals or any protesters without benefit of a trial. Then we can get on with destroying all the small countries that disagree with our view of the New World Order. After all, our fine, brave military has conquered Grenada, Panama and Iraq.

Next should be Cuba. I hear Castro looks a lot like Hitler. I am sure our propaganda machine can conjure up a case for Cuba's destruction. Adolph Hitler and Dr. Goebbels would be proud of it.

Also I am sure we can get England and France to help us. There wouldn't be any killing, just collateral damage. Collateral damage doesn't breathe the breath of life or have a face.

I pray to God you will have the guts to publish this, as I think this needs to be heard. ALVIS GREGORY SALEM
