OBIT WRAY, A.

Mr. Ansley L. Wray, age 72, of Rt. 2, (Sydnorsville Community). He was born in Franklin Co. January 16, 1919, a son of the late Thomas Isaac Wray and the late Mattie Walker Wray. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of Providence Baptist Church was retired from Stanley Furniture Company. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Brown Wray, of the home; one sister and brother-in-law, Estelle W. and Ford Frith, Martinsville; one brother and sister-in-law, Virgil and Helen Wray, Martinsville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Arrington-Bussey Chapel by the Rev. Rick Poland. Burial will follow in the Brown-McGhee Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fork Mountain Recue Squad, Rt. 3 Box 433, Bassett, Va. 24055. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home.
