KINSTON-WARREN PLANT REHIRING EMPLOYEES

Nearly 200 people temporaily laid off from Wytheville's Kingston-Warren plant have been called back to work and applications are being taken for up to 150 more jobs opening up in the next three months.

Fred Starling, the plant's personnel manager, said the applications are being handled through the Virginia Employment Commission.

Kingston-Warren now employs 550 people on three shifts, and is already Wythe County's largest industrial employer. It makes rubber channels for windows in General Motors cars.
