2 WASHINGTON COUNTY OFFICIALS TO RUN AGAIN

Washington County Commissioner of Revenue Melvin Ritchie and Treasurer Fred W. Parker have announced that they will seek the Democratic nomination to run for new terms in November.

Ritchie is seeking a fifth term. He was deputy commissioner for 11 years before being elected commissioner in 1976.

Parker is seeking a second term. He attended Lincoln Memorial University and graduated from Emory & Henry College in 1973. He recently completed certification as a governmental treasurer at the University of Virginia. - Southwest bureau
