VA. FINE ARTS MUSEUM DIRECTOR TAKES CALIF. JOB

Paul Perrot, director of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts since 1984, has accepted a position as director of the Santa Barbara Museum of Art in Santa Barbara, Calif.

He will assume his new responsibilities in September, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported today.

Perrot announced in November that he would retire from the Virginia Museum soon after his 65th birthday this summer. - Associated Press
