Eugene R. Kazner, age 68, of Roanoke County, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Thursday, March 28, 1991. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corp, a retired employee of General Electric with forty-four years of service and a charter member of Colonial Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jo Ellen Kazner. Survivors include Norma, his wife of forty-five years; three sons, and daughters-in-law, David and Carolyn Kazner of Roanoke; James and Mary Ann Kazner of Jacksonville, Fla.; and Keith Kazner, of Deerfield, Ill.; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Mike Hodges of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Robert Kazner of Jacksonville, Fla.; Shawn and Lisa Regnier of Roanoke; one great-granddaughter, Amanda Jo Kazner of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Chester and Ceil Kazner of Albany, N. Y.; and Raymond and Jane Kazner of Schenectady, N. Y.; also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Colonial Presbyterian Church 11:00 a.m. Monday with Dr. Bill Cole and the Rev. H. Fleet Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's South Chapel.
