The Carilion HeartNet "Heart Profile" examines cholesterol and blood sugar levels, blood pressure, resting pulse rate and a computerized cardiac risk analysis. There is an $18 fee.
Participants also receive T-shirts and wallet cards encoded with personal statistics.
The screenings are 8-11 a.m. Advance Registration is required. Call (800) 422-8482.
The health fair, cosponsored by the university, is 11 a.m.-3 p.m. About 30 health information booths and a variety of free health screenings will be available, such as hearing, vision, heart rate and blood pressure.
There is no fee except for a $5 charge for cholesterol screening. A free wheelchair check and cleaning, a doll clinic and face painting will be available.
Door prizes will be given and Rowdy Red, the university mascot, will be at the fair.
