FOXRIDGE ASSISTANT RECEIVES AWARD

Paula Williams, the assistant manager of Foxridge Apartments in Blacksburg, has won the Virginia Crime Prevention Association's Private Industry Award.

Williams earned recognition for the Neighborhood Watch program at Foxridge.

She was nominated by the Blacksburg Police Department.

Police departments from throughout the state are members of the crime prevention group.

The association presented Williams with the award Wednesday at its conference in Williamsburg.
