COUPLE CLAIM HALF OF LOTTO JACKPOT

A Fairfax couple on Friday claimed the second half of the $8.2 million Lotto jackpot of March 23.

Pinchao Yen, 31, and his wife, Tyin-Ing Lin, 31, came to Lottery Department headquarters to pick up their prize.

The winning ticket, worth $4.1 million, was purchased at a food store in Chantilly. Yen let the computer pick the winning combination of 1-11-32-35-37-39.

A Newport News couple, Leonard and Gwendolyn Ross, had the identical ticket and also won $4.1 million. They claimed their prize Monday.

Yen and his wife are from Taiwan. He is a senior programmer analyst and she is an accountant. They said they had no immediate plans for the money, other than to invest it carefully.

Yen received his first check of $155,455 after taxes. He will receive an additional 19 annual payments of $156,180.
