RADFORD LOSES TWICE TO COASTAL CAROLINA

Radford University lost its third and fourth consecutive baseball games Saturday, dropping a doubleheader to Coastal Carolina in Big South Conference play.

In game one, Radford (9-15-4 overall, 4-4 Big South) led 5-1, but Paul Leszczynski hit a grand slam in the fourth inning to tie the score, and Coastal Carolina (15-17, 7-1) added two in the fifth to win 7-5.

The Chanticleers won the second game 5-4 in extra innings. Shortstop Kenny Dawkins' two-out throwing error allowed the winning run to score in the bottom of the ninth. It was the third time this week Radford has lost a game with two out in the ninth.
