STREAM WORKSHOP SET AT SMITH MOUNTAIN

The Izaak Walton League of America has scheduled one of five Save Our Streams workshops in Virginia at Smith Mountain Lake next Sunday.

The league is working with the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation and the Division of Soil and Water to identify pollution problems in five of the state's priority river systems.

Other meetings are scheduled in Pennington Gap, Mount Crawford, Front Royal and Chesterfield.

The Smith Mountain workshop begins 1 p.m. at the Smith Mountain Lake Visitors Center. It is free of charge to interested citizens. Pre-registration is requested by calling the league at 703-528-1818.
